At EIMA International, Selvatici srl of San Lazzaro di Savena (Bologna) is launching a new series of machines that extend their range of .150 diggers, designed especially for greenhouse crops in sandy or light soils. These applications are characterized by fewer tools, resulting in reduced weight, made possible thanks to the increased interaxial distance between the spades, that is, without affecting the overall size of the machine. By virtue of these features, the .150 Series diggers offer top performance, also in terms of working width, with low-power tractors, i.e. the ones most used by horticulturists. Already prized for a type of tillage that does not create a plow sole and eliminates any pre-existing ones, the new diggers from Selvatici have a further strength: their light weight allows them to work the land more gently than other applications of the same category. Overall, the range of the .150 diggers is composed of five models, their power ranging from 55 to 150 horsepower, with widths between 190 and 400 cm, and with a number of tools that starts from a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 14.

Equipped with a 3-speed lever gearbox (works with PTO at 1,000 or 540 rpm), the latest arrival from the Selvatici brand reaches a maximum working depth of 35 cm. Its weight, which is low, starts at one thousand kilos for the basic model (VP1906) and reaches 1,800 for the “flagship” VP 4014. Lastly, it offers a rich range of options (like, for example, the sealed steel connecting rods) that the manufacturer has provided on this line of applications to meet the most diverse working requirements.
