The 2016 edition of EIMA International – the large exhibition dedicated to agricultural mechanization to be held in Bologna from November 9 to 13 – promises to have a rich programme of meetings, workshops and conferences promoted by FederUnacoma, many public and private bodies and associations, exhibitors and specialised publishing companies. The programme – that now consists of 100 planned events – covers a wide range of political, economic and technical issues such as agricultural system models’ evolution, automated management of cropping systems, multifunctional activities and new business opportunities, not to mention specific professional training and update courses for operators. In the morning of November 8 – on the day preceding the inauguration of the event – will take place the press conference by FederUnacoma with both Italian and foreign journalists. On that occasion, will be presented a scenario of global markets, with figures concerning the exhibition, as well as the new projects included in the renovation programme of the exhibition centre. All these issues will give a further boost to the exhibition, strenghtening the partnership between BolognaFiere and FederUnacoma. Among the political events is worth to mention the conference organised by FederUnacoma in collaboration with CEMA (European Agricultural Machinery) and the international organization Agrievolution on theme ”Agricultural Mechanization: New European Agenda”, which is going to host representatives of industry, professional organizations, members of institutional bodies and politicians. On the same day is held the ”Tractor of the Year” award sponsored by the magazine Trattori, with a jury of international journalists from specialised magazines, who will proclaim the most successful tractor models. Moreover, the ”Contractor of the Year Award”, established and promoted by the publisher Edagricole will be given Thursday 10 morning, during the conference dedicated to the ”Italian Contractors Standing Observatory”. Another specialised publisher – L’Informatore Agrario – will be the main character of the meeting on theme ”Economic Contributions to the Purchase of Machines and Agricultural Machinery”, scheduled on Saturday 12 afternoon, with a presentation of the results of a tailor-made research carried out to monitor the use of RDPs for the purchase of mechanical means. ”Agroinnovation Tour – Digital Agriculture: Today’s Opportunities: Ideas for the Future”, the conference dedicated to agriculture’s future developments and promoted by Image Line, the magazine specialised in online information is scheduled on Friday 11 afternoon. Therefore, the programme is full of many other events promoted by the publishing companies themselves, in order to offer a wide range of subjects. Among the meetings proposed by Mondo Macchina / Machinery World, a magazine directed by FederUnacoma itself, is worth to mention the “Meeting on New Materials for Components Manufacturers”, organised in collaboration with COMACOMP (Association of Components Manufacturers) in EIMA Components Thematic Hall. To EIMA Green Thematic Hall is linked the conference with theme “Performance, Spectacularity & Business: 2.0 Turfs”, organised by KultureMultimedia and mainly focused on the maintenance of facilities intended for professional football. At EIMA Energy Hall, dedicated to bioenergy supply chains, will take place the ”International ITABIA Conference on SLOPE Project dedicated to Precision Forestry Techniques”, on Thursday November 10 morning. A great attraction will be the annual conference of the National Young Farmers Association (AGIA), scheduled on Saturday 12 at the EIMA M.i.A., a section dedicated to technologies for multifunctional agriculture, on theme “Start-up in Agriculture: Young Farmers Aligned with the World of Education”.
