New developments for Argo Tractors. On 27 March the group's Landini brand signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of the Brazilian State of Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte for the construction of a factory to be built in the metropolitan area of the state capital. The initial investment will amount to some 13 million dollars. “The State of Minas Gerais is situated in an ideal geographical area for the production of agricultural equipment thanks to an important network of parts manufacturers and qualified manpower,” declared Tiago Bonomo, the Brazilian CEO of Argo Tractors Latin America.

The project calls for the factory to manufacture 60 to 180 Hp tractors and begin with the 100 to 180 Hp ranges. Landini's aim is to cover the entire Brazilian market by offering tractors of high level technological quality and creating a widespread dealer network. “Unlike other big groups that produce tractors,” explained Bonomo, “Landini has set its sights on the development of cutting-edge, high production efficiency machines. This is the result of Landini's ongoing investment in research and development, a policy that now allows us to offer extremely flexible solutions to our customers.”

Another new feature regards the web. Always attentive to the new instruments offered by the Internet, Argo Tractors has taken a leap ahead in communications for a stronger presence in the virtual world with new websites for the groups brands, Landini, McCormick and Valpadana. The sites have been updated with new graphics and made more linear to facilitate navigation and filled out with captivating images and still photos. Also the product sections are new and equipped with a product selector to aid farmers in making their choices of the tractor most suited to their own requirements.

Another venture in the digital area is the App for both iOS and Android operating systems providing access to the Landini and McCormick Digital Libraries providing free downloads of updated tractor catalogues, technical data sheets and the like.
