Do not be surprised if, passing through a multitude of the latest technological innovations in terms of agricultural mechanization displayed at EIMA International, you will hear visitors talking Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Thai, Farsi, American English and even Tanzanian. These are only few of the many languages revealing the nationalities that, from November 9 to 13, will attend the big trade fair of Bologna, that boasts a record in terms of delegations and foreign visitors. Product display arrangement, variety of highly innovative models and historical experience of this cutting-edge event, led foreign businessmen – with the support of marketing and networking activities promoted by the staff of FederUnacoma – to a higher awareness of the outstanding importance of the EIMA International exhibition. About 240,000 foreign visitors coming from 140 countries, veterans but also next generation operators, wish to visit the exhibition in order to come into contact with the Italian business community, that is capable of combining quality range of products and technological quality. They are farmers, businessmen, institutions and buyers scheduling this special appointment with EIMA International. This year’s edition will not only host visitors and foreign exhibitors, but also the largest number of delegates ever hosted, reaching the figure of 600 delegates divided into 80 delegations from 70 countries. In the foreground is the public commitment by the MISE (Ministry of the Economic Development) and ICE-Agency (Italian Trade Agency), which gave their contribution to the participation of hundreds of delegates, who – attending the trade fair from November 9 to 11 – will attend B2B meetings, assess business opportunities with FederUnacoma’s partner businesses and develop the matching between demand and supply, which is the driving force of all the business workshops at EIMA International.  ICE and FederUnacoma representatives have been selecting the most fitting profiles, who are going to be the main characters of three days of meetings scheduled according to a list of desiderata expressed by both foreign delegates and Italian exhibitors: the first day, 8 of November in the pre-fair area at the Savoia Hotel Regency Bologna, will be focused on Sub-Saharan Africa; November 9 and 10 will be instead dedicated respectively to Asian and American countries. Meetings will be held at the trade fair on the usual Mezzanine, Halls 25-26, that is going to host, for the entire duration of the event, the International Area dedicated to delegations, business meetings and reception of foreign visitors. This area represents, over others, not only the tangible implementation of the internationalization efforts made by the organisers, but also the central role played by EIMA in the promotion of dialogue and cooperation. These are essential and winning parts of the economic and social context, aimed at including, listening and broadening horizons instead of adopting self-referential and unproductive positions. In conclusion, EIMA 2016 reshapes the concept of the exhibition space and reflects the world in all its colours becoming, once again, a place of exchange, a platform of communication, a hub of business meetings with a view to promoting the excellence of the Italian agricultural mechanization.
