Countdown to the Bologna debut of the MF 6718 S tractor, flagship of the MF 6700 S range from Massey Ferguson. The new tractor made by the American company is an agile and flexible machine, powered by a 4-cylinder engine (with Engine Power Management), 4.9 litre (like the other models in the MF 6700 S series). On the MF 6718 S, it can unleash a power of 200 horsepower, making it one of the strongest machines in its class. The power unit, among other things, ensures optimum power and torque even at low engine speed, reaching its optimum at two thousand revolutions, when it develops maximum power in relation to maximum efficiency. Among its strong points, the 4-cylinder also boasts the Engine Power Management (EPM), which is available on all models and all transmission choices, increasing power by up to 25 horsepower, bringing the MF 6718 S to the declared 200 horsepower. Of course, the engine of the MF 6700 S series, and therefore that of the MF 6718 S, is fully in line with Stage IV emissions standards (Tier 4 final) and uses a maintenance-free system of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) with waste-gated electronically controlled valve. The simple and compact design accommodates the catalytic converters into the oval exhaust, and the DOC under the hood, thus optimizing the housing spaces, to the benefit of the work area visibility. In addition to the optimal engine fuel economy and maintenance-free emission control system, the operating costs are further reduced through service intervals extended up to 600 hours, 20% more than previous models.
