Performance up by 10% for the Genie compacts

With a lifting height of up to 6 meters and load capacity of 2.5 tons, the fixed GTH-2506 telehandler carrying the Genie brand name is one of the leading models for the parent Terex Corporation now on the market in a more high performance version unwrapped in April last year at the Baumn in Munich. The most important feature revised by the Genie technical staff is the 4-cylinder, 3-liter Deutz Turbo Diesel rated at 55 kW or 74 Hp which conforms to the Stage IIIB emission standard. On performance, compared to the previous model, the redesigned version can vaunt 10% more power to ensure for the GTH-2506 greater speed and smoother driving resulting in increased productivity. Only a few changes were made on the transmission which is still hydrostatic, one of the great plus features for the small telehandlers designed for perfect integration with the compact with height under two meters, length of 1.9 meters and only 3.84 meters from the rear of the machine to the front fork frame. The designers at work for the U.S. corporation directed rather more attention to improving the steering radius, taking it down to 3.25 meters, and boosting speed up to 26 km/h. The GTH-2506 can also reach 28 km/h thanks to the steel wheel wells which can house tires of up to 18 inches – with ground clearance elevated by two mm from 33 to 35 mm as an option compared to the 16 inch series. Restyling was also extended to the cab, with ROPS/FOPS certification, with the arrival of new fabrics and materials for improving the comfort of the operator, a new design for the FOPS grill without compromising 360° visibility and a relocation for the hydraulic distributor to make it more accessible and facilitate maintenance.

Aiming for the heights with the GTH-4014 and GTH-5021 telehandlers

The GTH-2506 made its debut in the third quarter of 2013 a short time after the introduction to the market of the GTH-4014 with construction solutions very similar to those applied for the restyling of the compacts – maximum lifting height at 14 meters and lift capacity up to four tons and power provided by a vigorous Stage IIIB Perkins rated at 75 kW coupled with a hydrostatic transmission and four-wheel drive to take the machine up to a speed of 30 km/h. The GTH-4014 is a robust machine designed for the most demanding jobs with no sacrifice in maneuverability even in the most congested worksites with an outside turning radius of only 3.8 meters. The third model brought out by the U.S. manufacturer is the high performance GTH-5021-R, Rough Terrain Handler with a rotating telescopic boom which went into production a short time ago. Thanks to outrigger stabilizers this Genie machine features a lifting height of 21 meters, a lift capacity of five tons and can lift 750 kg at maximum reach of 18.9 meters. As for the GTH-4014, the GTH-5021-R mounts a 854E-E34TA Stage IIIB Perkins Turbo Diesel rated at 111 HP/83 kW in line with the power and solidarity requirements of a handler in this category.
