The Kverneland Group is bringing a number of new product features to EIMA International including some making their world premiere. Beginning with the new FXE chopper, this is a lightweight machine equipped with a chopping chamber with a high discharge capacity and a CAT II head attachment mounted in perforated shafts to improve the adaptation of the chopper to the terrain. Among the FXE model strong points are top flight performance and a fully reliable drive shaft. The central gearbox (up to 120 HP) is a piece of standard equipment, as is the integrated free wheel. The rotors work at a speed of over 1800 rpm and can be fitted with universal blades or univeral hammer blades with special design to guarantee lifting of the residues even in wet conditions and avoid uncut stubble especially in tractor wheels tracks.

Also debuting at EIMA International is the restyled Optima TFprofi now available in the four-wheel optional version equipped with a new hydraulic suspension system allowing the precision seed drill wheels to follow the ground contours individually. The turbocharger is located on the front of the drawbar to facilitate maintenance operations needed. The new 2,000 liter capacity hopper is fitted with load cells and a hydraulically controlled distribution system for better treatment of the seeds and improving fertilizer dosages in the rows. Another Optima TFprofi feature, other than electro-hydraulic micro granular control, is the optional hydraulic or air brake system for road transport at up to 40 km/h.

The Kverneland iXdrive 4180 self-propelled sprayer at 4,000 liter capacity is also coming to EIMA. This compact sprayer designed for large spreads packs the same technologies as the iXdrive and the iXFlow device controlling nozzle vacuum recirculation and the iXClean Pro, the innovative cleaning system. Compared to other machines in the same family, the iXdrive 4180 has a wheelbase shortened by 30 cm for a steering radius of less than 3.9 meters and a frame compatible with the compact construction of the self-propelled sprayer without any safety compromise. The iXDrive 4180 power plant is a 4-cylinder JCB 175 HP engine in compliance with the Tier 4F emission standard. The ergonomics of the control panel ensure maximum access to all controls and functions and a tank equipped with the IsoMatch Tellus using an ISOBUS interface operates the Xclean Pro fully automatic valve management for rinsing and cleaning. The new Kverneland sprayer is available combined with the HSS 24-36 meter booms or the HSA 24 meters aluminum booms. The HSS booms combine reduced weight with stability and robust construction and the HSA is modular with variable geometry, equipped with nozzle holders with tip guards designed to facilitate cleaning and washing. Both feature the iXFlow device controlling nozzle vacuum recirculation. For maximum protection of the crop, the iXDrive 4180 is available with three combinations of ground clearance and track, with track regulated hydraulically, and the hydro pneumatic suspension on both axles provides operator comfort and boom stability in transport and field operation.
