February 2014 | Back

New for the self-powered Mustang ride-on mower by Peruzzi is that this model, presented originally at the 2012 EIMA International, has come through the European standards approval with flying colors thanks to the Mustang's anti-rollover frame and certification for transport on public roads. This Peruzzi ride-on has been warmly welcomed on the market for the mower's maximum safety and driver comfort with no compromise as regards high level performance. This compact and versatile machine also features a robust mulching system capable of handling such demanding jobs as work on heavy grass and branch mulching on all types of agricultural and urban green terrain and uncultivated areas for treating grass as well as pruning residues. The rotor blades ensure a fine mulch for fast absorption into the ground. The Mustang is powered by a  Lombardini-Kubota diesel engine and is mounted on three wheels, a design which allows the driver to select among three setup options. The first is operational with the wheels and cutting and mulching deck on the ground for optimizing the stability of the mower, following the profile of the terrain and reducing compaction of the soil. The second is with the cutting deck resting on only the two front wheels and the lift roller raised by a jack for road transport with maximum traction for the frame. The third is raising the front of the cutting deck 45° for overcoming obstacles or for maintenance without any need for a hoist to remove or replace components.
