Zeus and Sirio from Badalini, for difficult terrain

The Zeus and Sirio multitillers from Mantua’s Badalini are machines designed to deliver high performance even on hard or uneven surfaces (the components are reinforced) and to preserve ideal soil moisture. But quality, reliability and durability are not the only strengths of these models, which can be used at working speeds between 5 and 10 kilometres per hour (depending on the different conditions of the soil). This feature – explains the company from Lombardy in a note – allows to reduce significantly the operating costs of the machine, with an increase in yield of up to 30%. Characterized by a power demand between 60 and 120 horsepower and a working width of between 290 and 1000 mm, the Sirio rototillers are equipped with a device for on-roads closing, available in a manual version (in this case a tilting spring eases the operation) or a hydraulic version, which is complete with block valves and automatic locking at stroke end (to manage the application from the driving seat). The Sirio multitillers are ideal for crops such as sunflower, artichokes, herbs, cotton and corn (six-row machine with a device that flips the two elements simultaneously). On the other hand, the Zeus models are recommended for the nursery, horticulture and agriculture sectors, with reinforced chains, extruded frame (non-deformable), displacement system for bodies along the frame, and front anchor on each body for breaking up soil where it is not processed. The two models are different mainly in their tools: the MZsa model features hoes well suited to honing, thus facilitating the harvesters that follow, while the MZS multitiller is equipped with expanded hoes and high strength bolts (12 mm) for heavy duty work, including in depth and on hard, clay or stony soils.
