The BCS Group was one of the protagonists of the latest edition of Agrilevante. The event held in Bari was the opportunity for the Lombardy company to showcase its top models for 2018. The new K40 SDT RS tractor is on display, already presented as a concept at EIMA International 2016, now ready for large-scale distribution. This is a differentiated wheel model with a short pitch and low centre of gravity, and thanks to the steering brakes that come standard, it has special steering abilities allowing it to operate in confined spaces or on slopes. The new K40 SDT RS mounts a 36 Hp Kubota engine with an OS-FRAME mounted transmission. The centre joint allows the front axle to swing up to 15 degrees compared to the rear, thus stabilizing the attitude on sloping terrain and ensuring maximum traction. The rugged and compact geometry of these tractors, a common feature of machines manufactured by BCS, is particularly useful for Mediterranean crops, where it ensures high performance in olive groves and vineyards, even under the foliage. The BCS Group has unveiled the new high-end Ferrari Vega L80 tractor, equipped with a 2.4-litre Kohler engine that generates 75 Hp. The L80 series will take centre stage at Fieragricola Verona, held at the end of January 2018. The new K40 SDT RS tractors and the new L80 series are in line with European Regulation no. 167/2013 EEC (Mother Regulation) which, starting from 2018, requires essential modifications to tractors aimed at improving operator safety on the vehicle.
