Colibrì 18 MT, from Favaro 1937 a durable and light herbicide boom

The experience and expertise gained by For.Agr. (Venetian company based in Montebelluna, near Treviso, and holder of the Favaro 1937 brand) in the herbicide treatment industry, coupled with the ability to listen to customers that has always distinguished its way of doing business, has allowed the Treviso company to launch at EIMA International a new electro-hydraulic boom model with compact closure. It is an 18 metre model with seven spraying areas, which complements the already extensive “Colibrì” range. All the movements of the boom - explains the builder with a technical note - are managed by the operator through an electro-hydraulic control, with the ability to close the last external arm (both right and left) also during the treatment to avoid obstacles such as poles, walls, trees. Despite its 18 metre width, once the bar has been closed on itself, it becomes extremely compact (with a height of about three metres), thereby facilitating its transportation. Worthy of note, the particular care taken by the technicians of the Treviso team in the design of the structure, designed so as to ensure maximum strength and reliability in all working conditions, without further strain on the total weight of the bar. For example, a 1,200 litre Compact on-board system with an 18 metre Colibrì bar weighs less than 1,000 kg empty.

Suitable for all kinds of treatments, especially in farms with large tracts of land and for contract work, the Colibrì model finds its ideal configuration in combination with the on-board sprayers of the Compact series (also made by Favaro 1937) and the towed sprayers of the FD 25-30 and FCD 15-20 series.
