At EIMA International 2016, the focus of Comer Industries is on high-tech components for mixer-wagons. In the fodder harvesting and distribution segment, where it can boast a position of leadership, the company from Reggiolo (Reggio Emilia) offers transmission systems for mixer-wagons with vertical or horizontal augers, stationary, for feeding and biogas, self-propelled or truck-mounted; all characterized by innovative solutions.  One example is the Powershift A-614, a two or three-speed mechatronic system for high capacity wagons, which integrates a mechanical transmission, a hydraulic system for managing the clutches, and an electronic control unit (ECU) responsible for handling gear changes without torque interruption. The Powershift, along with the VP series of professional universal shafts and high-torque planetary gears for end augers is the complete package for high capacity mixer-wagons. An alternative to the Powershift for towed vertical mixer-wagons is the A-613 gear box. Furthermore, for the same type of application, Comer Industries launches a new series of epicyclic gear units, the PGA-2500, with a renewed design of the output device, notable for a reduction in overall weight and for a reduced lubricant demand.

A highlight of the horizontal auger mixer-wagons is the D-4A gearbox with parallel shafts and the PG-2500 epicyclic gearbox. On the self-propelled mixer-wagons, the system comprises the S-328 axle (load capacity of 12 tonnes and maximum torque of 58,000 Nm) and the PGA-2103 VM epicyclic gear unit. Responsible for driving the auger, the latter has a nominal torque of 21,000 Nm, but its real trump card is represented by an innovative, patent-pending system, that withstands high heat outputs for heavy-duty applications.
