Agriculture, soon available 400 million euros for innovative mechanization

The Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida, has signed the decree for the allocation of PNRR funds for innovation in agriculture. Overall, 500 million euros are allocated: 400 million are intended to facilitate investments in innovative agricultural machinery, while the remaining 100 are aimed at the modernization of oil mills. The resources will be provided by the Regions and the autonomous Provinces with specific tenders, but according to guidelines and methods that are always defined by the decree signed today. «With this measure – said Minister Lollobrigida – we are adding another element to further improve the quality of production and reduce the environmental impact». According to the Italian association of agricultural machinery manufacturers, FederUnacoma, the green light for the resources provided for by the PNRR  represents an important step for the innovation of agricultural processes. However - observes FederUnacoma - the PNRR alone is insufficient to cover the national need for agricultural technologies and should be accompanied by a repeatable measure expressly intended for agriculture 4.0 and for the purchase of innovative and sustainable mechanical means.
