For the near future the goal of the organizers' committee is to extend the EIMA Show beyond the regional borders to become an event with national attraction in light of the growing importance of precision agriculture and the IT control systems arriving in the coming years

EIMA Show: technology for agricultural work

The demonstration of machinery and technologies for precision farming to be held in Casalina di Deruta at the end of July is coming up for presentation at Agriumbria. The grand event is organized by FederUnacoma, UmbriaFiere, Coldiretti Umbria, the University of Perugia, the Agriculture Education and Ce.S.A.R. Foundation in Perugia with the sponsorship of the Umbria Region. The new methodologies call for the deployment of satellite, IT and sensor systems as the new frontier of agriculture to enable the timely and scientific use or production components to benefit productivity and the environment

The Casalina farm, a laboratory for agriculture of quality

The EIMA Show demonstration trials are to be held on the terrain belonging to an historic farming enterprise managed by the Agriculture Education Foundation in Perugia. The nearly 2,000 hectares of the farmland extents into the three municipalities, Marsciano, Deruta and Collazzone, and the specializations on the spread are viticulture, olive groves and livestock raising capable of providing the logistics for the event set to draw a thousand or more of business people not only from Umbria but also all the central Italian regions
