The single and Bivanga spading machines by Selvatici of San Lazzaro di Savena (Bologna) take up the challenge of agriculture 4.0 with the introduction of the AgriSmart 4.0 platform. Created by the Smartronic company, AgriSmart 4.0 technology provides a hardware device, a cloud computing system and a display for remote data viewing. In addition to the PLC module already configured and programmed with 12Vcc power supply directly from the tractor, the basic equipment includes a SIM card slot, GSM antenna, sensor for monitoring machine operations, durable material housing for PLC with sensor and Cloud system. Thanks to these features, the platform is able to count the tool's hours of operation through a sensor designed to read the movement of the machine cranks. The data is useful for scheduling maintenance and therefore to extend the life cycle of the machine over time. It is transmitted to the Cloud computing system, which the user can access through his reserved area. "Accompanied by a certificate of compliance with the Industry 4.0 Plan, the Agrismart 4.0 kit lets you view the machine's operating data in real time or in a final report. The system - explains the Bologna company in a technical note - is designed to alert the operator when to change the oil in the box, grease the joints on the bearings, and check the tightness of the bolts". AgriSmart technology is available on Selvatici spading machines of the 150.150, 150.200, 180.250, 220.250, 180.350 and 220.350 series and on the Bivanga spading machines of the 150.150, 180.250 and 180.350 series. Lastly, we must not forget - as the Emilian company points out - that the platform allows access to the aid provided by the Industry 4.0 Plan and Nuova Sabatini.
