TEKONOAX, innovation according to ADR
The Italian company presents their new farm trailer axle at EIMA. Made in tubular monobloc, the new component is equipped with a radio frequency identification device for the management of data relating to traceability, aintenance, and safety
The innovative TEKNOAX project, winner of the Technical Innovation competition at EIMA 2016, is one of the leading products of the ADR Group. The idea is to add, in a range of axles for agricultural trailers, a traceability and know-how sharing system that responds to the growing need to make the machine an active part in the management of agricultural activities, and in the real-time evaluation of their effectiveness. The efficiency and reliability of the TEKNOAX system start from a newly designed axle, monolithic, with a hollow structure with no welds. The system is based on three fundamental pillars: mechanical innovation of the production process, development of a smart system, generation of a platform as an end user interface. TEKNOAX intends to create a smart communications unit, capable of transmitting the signal coming from the sensors installed on the axle to a receiver connected via a platform. Access to information is possible with any mobile support, after downloading a free app from the site www.adraxles.com. An RFID tag (radio frequency identifier) integrated in the axis allows the unique traceability of each individual axle. The factory data, serial number, production batch, production process details can be captured and used during operations. The goal is not only the maximum efficiency of the service, but the creation of a support for a range of axles that builds on the information from the end user, which uses the manufacturer’s database to contribute to the continuous improvement of the products. The new system produced by ADR progressively includes other fundamental elements of the construction of agricultural machinery, such as hydraulic suspension, also developed by the Lombard company. We are talking about Hydrocompact, a new range whose innovative geometric characteristics allow to reduce the overall dimensions and the masses, in favour of performance and load capacity. The TEKNOAX structure, without welds, constitutes with its hollow profile a torsion bar capable of compensating the roll of even the tallest vehicles. The hydraulics complement the action of the structure acting through the connections of the cylinders to the TEKNOAX body itself. ADR thus provides manufacturers of farm trailers with an undercarriage, with innovative and easy assembly methods, and provides the end user with a lighter, better performing, and smarter complex, which will be able to control the main functions of the vehicle. In addition, a special free app is made available by ADR to give direct access to the customized catalogue of spare parts for axle groups and suspensions.
