This is the BL4/EX/VT model, suitable for shredding logs up to 30 cm in diameter, compatible with excavators from 18 to 25 t and available with working widths of 135 and 160 cm (125 and 150 cm respectively). The BL system provides the machine with a steel-profiled rotor that limits the depth of tool action and reduces power demand, while ensuring speed and performance. BL blades, which are particularly suitable for short and long-fibre trees, out-of-ground stumps, bushes and brushwood, are made of heat-treated forged steel, and provide additional operational savings due to their strength and the possibility of regrinding. Other features of the shredder include a durable steel frame; a VT (Variable Torque) motor, which offers improved performance by increasing torque when needed and minimising the possi- bility of rotor lock-up; a belt drive (Poly Chain) that ensures high power transfer; and the Diverter valve that allows hydraulic bon- net control. Accessories available for the BL4/EX/VT include the Sonic system for optimum machine/shredder coupling; the hy- draulic thumb for material handling; the deflector for safely di- recting the processed material; and the Spike PRO counter- blades for improved finishing of the processed material. The new machine, which is suitable for forestry operations re- quiring high shredding capacity and speed, complements the other three BL 1, 2 and 3/EX products from 4 to 20 tonnes. Il sistema BL fornisce al mezzo un rotore con profili in acciaio che limitando la profondità di azione degli utensili contiene la ri- chiesta di potenza, garantendo contemporaneamente velocità e prestazione. Le lame BL, particolarmente indicate per alberi a fibre corte e lunghe, ceppi esterni al terreno, cespugli e ra- maglie, sono realizzate in acciaio forgiato trattato termicamen- te, e consentono un ulteriore risparmio di esercizio grazie alla loro resistenza e alla possibilità di essere riaffilate. Altre caratteristiche della trincia sono un robusto telaio di ac- ciaio di lunga durata; un motore VT (Variable Torque), che offre prestazioni migliori aumentando la coppia in caso di necessità e minimizzando la possibilità di blocco del rotore; una trasmis- sione a cinghia (Poly Chain) che garantisce un elevato trasferi- mento di potenza; e il Diverter valve che consente il controllo idraulico del cofano. Fra gli accessori disponibili per la BL4/EX/VT troviamo il sistema Sonic per un’ottimale abbina- mento macchina operatrice/trincia; il pollice idraulico per la mo- vimentazione del materiale; il deflettore per direzionare in sicu- rezza il materiale lavorato; e le controlame Spike PRO per una migliore finitura del materiale lavorato. La nuova macchina, adatta per lavorazioni boschive che ne- cessitano di grande capacità di triturazione e velocità d’inter- vento, va ad affiancare gli altri tre prodotti BL 1, 2 e 3/EX da 4 a 20 t.
