È importante sot- tolineare, secondo Aiel, Ebs, Elettricità Futura, Fiper e Ita- bia, che lo scenario tracciato dall’IEA parla esplicitamente di una “moderna bioenergia” gestita secondo criteri soste- nibili, con notevoli ricadute positive sulla biodiversità e sul- la tutela delle aree forestali. Si evidenzia inoltre che “In Ita- lia, il prelievo legnoso a fini produttivi e energetici è tra i più bassi a livello europeo; è urgente la messa in atto della Strategia Forestale per favorire l’economia del legno e so- prattutto prevenire i rischi idrogeologici, gli incendi e ga- rantire il presidio di vaste aree montane a rischio margina- lizzazione”.
