Losavio L’azienda Mecaplast, con sede nel territorio reggiano (a Ghiardo di Bibbiano), è presente da oltre 45 anni sul mercato produttivo, vantando una forte specializzazione nella progettazione e costruzione stampi e nello stampaggio ad iniezione di materie plastiche. L’utilizzo di impianti produttivi di ultima generazione – il reparto di stampaggio è equipaggiato con 10 presse ad iniezione da 60 a 380 tonnellate, dotate gruppi di iniezione Kluin Wijhe B.V. e con vite di plastificazione Maxi Melt, specifiche per tecnopolimeri – e l’esperienza accumulata in quattro decenni di attività, ha permesso alla Mecaplast di specializzarsi anche nel Metal Replacement - che prevede l’utilizzo di polimeri ad alte prestazioni in sostituzione al metallo, per migliorare le caratteristiche meccaniche e funzionali di una vasta rosa di prodotti, entrando in segmenti di mercato molto diversificati. Le ultime novità dell’azienda emiliana riguardano l’ambito delle macchine agricole, in particolare le seminatrici, per le quali Mecaplast ha realizzato le GreenLifeTire, una nuova generazione di ruote che – spiega il costruttore con una nota tecnica – grazie alla qualità dei polimeri impiegati nel processo produttivo, offrono prestazioni tecniche di assoluto livello e un’alta resistenza all’abrasione e all’usura, al taglio e alla sua propagazione, allo stallonamento e alla rottura del cerchio. Caratterizzate da una considerevole forza meccanica e resistenza al carico, le GreenLifeTire hanno un peso ridotto, che contribuisce alla diminuzione degli stress dinamici e della forza di trazione (con conseguenti minori consumi di carburante) e presentano un’elevata risposta elastica che agevola il distacco del terreno umido dallo pneumatico. Le ruote sviluppate da Mecaplast sono innovative non soltanto sotto il profilo delle prestazioni, ma anche per quanto concerne l’impatto ambientale. Le gomme termoplastiche e i tecnopolimeri – si legge sempre nella nota della casa reggiana – sono materiali molto ricercati anche sul mercato delle materie plastiche rigenerate; quindi, in caso di sostituzione, le GreenLifeTire possono essere vendute ad aziende specializzate nella rigenerazione e non sono pertanto soggette a tasse di smaltimento. The use of state-of-the-art production equipment - the moulding department is equipped with 10 injection moulding machines ranging from 60 to 380 tonnes, with Kluin Wijhe B.V. injection units and Maxi Melt plasticizing screw specific for technopolymers - and the experience accumulated in four decades of activity, has allowed Mecaplast to specialize also in Metal Replacement - which involves the use of high-performance polymers instead of metal, to improve the mechanical and functional characteristics of a wide range of products, entering very diversified market segments. The Emilian company's latest innovations concern agricultural machinery, in particular seeders, for which Mecaplast has developed GreenLifeTire, a new generation of wheels that - the manufacturer explains in a technical note - thanks to the quality of the polymers used in the production process, offer top-level technical performance and high resistance to abrasion and wear, cutting and its propagation, bead breakage and rim breakage. Characterized by considerable mechanical strength and load resistance, GreenLifeTire wheels have a low weight, which contributes to a reduction in dynamic stress and tractive force (resulting in lower fuel consumption) and have a high elastic response that facilitates the release of wet soil from the tyre. The wheels developed by Mecaplast are innovative not only in terms of performance but also in terms of environmental impact. Thermoplastic tyres and technopolymers are also highly soughtafter materials on the regenerated plastics market - says the Reggio Emilia-based company. In the event of replacement, GreenLifeTire wheels can be sold to companies specialising in regeneration and are therefore not subject to disposal taxes. On the other hand, Mecaplast itself offers a discount to customers who replace used GreenLifeTires, for the purchase of new wheels.
