EVENTI 40 EVENTI di Giovanni M. Losavio Si è svolta a Montoldre (Francia), dal 7 al 10 giugno, la prima competizione ufficiale di robot autonomi per il diserbo delle colture di pieno campo. La manifestazione, denominata ACRE (Agri-food Competition for Robot Evaluation) è stata organizzata dal Politecnico di Milano e dal Dipartimento di Scienze Agrarie e Ambientali dell’Università degli Studi di Milano in partnership con l’Institut national de la recherche agronomique ed il Laboratoire national de métrologie et d'essais. La competizione – spiegano i promotori – è stata finanziata dalla Commissione Europea nell'ambito del progetto Horizon 2020 METRIC, finalizzato ad incentivare la diffusione dei robot e dell’intelligenza artificiale. La gara ACRE di Montoldre, dedicata a macchine in grado di compiere le operazioni di diserbo in totale autonomia dal controllo umano, ha impegnato i “concorrenti” in diverse tipologie di prove.
