Questa, tuttavia, non è l’unica novità della serie 5G. I tecnici della casa statunitense, infatti, hanno completamente ridisegnato la cabina migliorandone sia l’ergonomia che il comfort (lo spazio per le gambe è stato ampliato), e prevedendo un sistema di filtraggio categoria IV integrato nel tetto (protegge l’operatore da polveri ed aerosol). Anche il cofano è stato ridisegnato e viene ora proposto con un profilo ribassato per aumentare la visuale anteriore sull’area di lavoro, e con un nuovo impianto di luci LED (optional). Altro plus dei 5G è il display digitale da 5 pollici collocato in posizione centrale, proprio davanti al conducente, per agevolare il settaggio delle impostazioni della trattrice. I modelli della serie 5G possono essere equipaggiati con sistema ISOBUS (opzionale) ed essere adattati in seguito con il modulo telematico JDLink per la connessione alla piattaforma John Deere Operations Center. In aggiunta, per gestire al meglio il lavoro su pendii ripidi e filari stretti, le nuove trattrici della casa americana possono essere dotate di DYNAMIC STEERING e AutoClutch. Il primo modifica automaticamente la resistenza alla sterzata in funzione della velocità di avanzamento – quando diminuisce la velocità si riduce anche la resistenza opposta dallo sterzo (specie durante le svolte strette) – mentre l’AutoClutch agevola le manovre sui pendii grazie alla possibilità di innestare la frizione con il pedale del freno.
