Annunciati recentemente dalla società – che nel 2023 festeggerà i 50 anni di attività – importanti lavori nella sede di Cavriago (RE), che prevedono l’ampliamento degli spazi produttivi e la costruzione di un Innovation Center. Le nuove costruzioni verranno realizzate, entro il prossimo giugno, su una superficie di 3 ettari, per un investimento di 31,5 mln, per un progetto industriale che prevede numerose nuove assunzioni e trasferimenti da altre sedi, per un totale di addetti che passerà dalle attuali 174 unità a 400. La produttività sarà raddoppiata grazie ad un nuovo edificio di 9 mila mq, che verrà realizzato in sintonia architettonica e funzionale con quello già operativo. A fianco di questi spazi verrà costruito un altro stabile di 3 mila mq, di maggior impatto estetico, che ospiterà l’Innovation Center, con i laboratori di ricerca e sviluppo aziendale, attualmente attivi presso la sede di Reggio Emilia di Via Norvegia. Questo diventerà il punto di riferimento di tutte le attività di ricerca delle filiali Walvoil nel mondo. Le nuove strutture sono state studiate perché siano a basso impatto paesaggistico, con aree a verde realizzate per il benessere degli addetti e per la compensazione delle emissioni delle varie attività. Grazie a questo investimento i vertici Walvoil hanno preventivato un aumento di fatturato per 30 mln di euro.
