Questi ambiziosi obiettivi richiedono l’adozione di soluzioni di economia circolare, per proteggere la natura e le biodiversità e garantire un sistema alimentare equo, sano e rispettoso dell’ambiente. Per quel che riguarda più in particolare l’energia, è evidente che il traguardo di un’Europa “climate-neutral” nel 2050 potrà essere raggiunto solo con una crescita significativa di tutte le fonti rinnovabili, sia per quel che riguarda la generazione di elettricità che per gli usi termici ed il settore dei trasporti. In quest’ottica, un ruolo centrale spetta alla bioenergia la cui attuale quota di produzione (circa 10% del totale dei consumi energetici) dovrà essere incrementata fino a raddoppiare entro il 2050. Ad oggi i maggiori ostacoli stanno nella sfera politica e culturale, e per questo motivo nell’ambito del Salone EIMA Energy Itabia - Italian Biomass Association e CNR IBE (Istituto per la Bioeconomia) hanno realizzato un workshop sul alcune buone pratiche di bioeconomia selezionate grazie al Progetto H2020 “BRANCHES” (www.branchesproject.eu). Tale progetto mira a diffondere l'innovazione tecnologica per rendere più efficienti le filiere legate alle biomasse, e a creare nuove opportunità di business nelle zone rurali facilitando i collegamenti tra il mondo delle imprese e quello della ricerca scientifica. Nell’ottica di estendere il trasferimento di conoscenze verso un crescente numero di stakeholder, il workshop è avvenuto in stretta collaborazione con la Rete Rurale Nazionale del CREA PB, che supporta l’interazione dei Gruppi Operativi nell'ambito dell'iniziativa PEI-AGRI. This project aims to disseminate technological innovation to make biomass-related supply chains more efficient, and to create new business opportunities in rural areas by facilitating links between the business world and the world of scientific research. With a view to extending knowledge transfer to a growing number of stakeholders, the workshop took place in close collaboration with the CREA PB National Rural Network, which supports the interaction of the Operating Groups within the PEI-AGRI initiative. Thanks to the database of Operating Groups throughout the country, which can be consulted within the Innovarurale Portal (www.innovarurale.it), the National Rural Network represents an excellent observatory of virtuous initiatives to be disseminated.
