Scopo della manifestazione è infatti quello di avvicinare il mondo dell’industria italiana delle macchine agricole a quello dei ricercatori esperti nell’ambito della robotica e dell’intelligenza artificiale, in modo da creare solide partnership che permettano nel prossimo futuro di colmare il gap ora esistente in termini di robotica agricola tra l’industria europea e quella statunitense, e similmente tra quella italiana e quella di varie realtà europee, quali Francia e Olanda. Proprio allo scopo di aumentare l’interesse delle aziende verso l’iniziativa, per l’edizione italiana ci sarà la possibilità di aggiungere per i partecipanti alla competizione, oltre alle colture già utilizzate nella precedente edizione (fagiolini e mais), anche una coltura orticola, mentre per chi vorrà semplicemente esporre gli organizzatori valuteranno la possibilità di preparare appezzamenti dimostrativi ad hoc, sia semplicemente lavorati (ovvero senza colture in atto) sia impegnati con colture specifiche. Gli organizzatori della manifestazione puntano ad un successo in termini di espositori e di pubblico, considerando anche il fatto che l’accesso alla manifestazione sarà gratuito sia per gli espositori che per i visitatori, e prevedono una buona copertura anche da parte degli organi d’informazione, sempre più interessati alla robotica e alle soluzioni tecnologiche più avanzate per il settore agricolo. The aim of the event is to bring the world of the Italian agricultural machinery industry closer to that of expert researchers in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence, with the aim of creating solid partnerships that will make it possible in the near future to bridge the gap that currently exists in terms of agricultural robotics between the European industry and that of the United States, and similarly between the Italian industry and that of various European countries, such as France and Holland. Precisely in order to increase the interest of companies in the initiative, for the Italian edition there will be the possibility for participants in the competition to add a horticultural crop in addition to the crops already used in the previous edition (green beans and maize), while for those who simply wish to exhibit, the organisers will evaluate the possibility of preparing ad hoc demonstration plots, either simply worked (i.e. without crops in place) or committed with specific crops. The event organisers are aiming for success in terms of exhibitors and the public, also considering the fact that access to the event will be free for both exhibitors and visitors, and also expect good coverage by the media, which are increasingly interested in robotics and the most advanced technological solutions for the agricultural sector.
