Like all the other equipment in the range, the Diamant 18 plow is also suitable for surface or deep soil working, and can be equipped with a tracking roller for reconsolidating the soil. The latest addition to the Lemken range, designed to be paired with high-power tractors (up to 650 HP), features a robust 180/180/12.5 mm square-section frame and up to eight plowshares; features that make it suitable for the most demanding jobs. Especially on dry terrain, – the German company states in a technical note – the Diamant 18 stands out for its stability and ability to penetrate the soil (the reconfigured position of the wheels allows for the optimization of the extra load on the frame). One of the most significant design innovations of this model is the repositioning of the support wheel, which is now located behind the frame. This construction innovation means that the plow bodies sink into the ground and maintain a constant working depth set by the operator, while the new positioning of the tires lowers the center of gravity, thus reducing the rotation forces to which the plow is subjected and decreasing the stress on the rear suspension. Una delle novità progettuali più rilevanti di questo modello è rappresentata dal riposizionamento della ruota di supporto, che ora è collocata dietro al telaio. Grazie a questa innovazione costruttiva, i corpi dell'aratro affondano nel terreno e mantengono costante la profondità di lavoro impostata dall’operatore, mentre la nuova collocazione degli pneumatici abbassa il centro di gravità, riducendo così le forze di rotazione cui è sottoposto l'aratro e diminuendo le sollecitazioni a carico della sospensione posteriore.
