This expansion is the result of constant growth which, according to the company itself, has led the firm to export 98% of its production. The new facility has a production area of over 50,000 square meters, out of a total surface area of over 90,000 square meters, and employs 220 people. The Research and Design department is the heart of Olimac and is equipped with one of the most advanced CAD-CAM facilities. The technology designed by Olimac technicians, and all manufacturing processes, are transmitted via the computer network to the machine tools. This is where the Drago corn and sunflower header range came into being: DragoGT and Drago2, both equipped with shockabsorbing and automatically adjusting corn decks. This technology – explains Olimac in a technical note – allows corn and grain to be harvested at the greatest possible speed without losing cobs. The DragoGT is also equipped with a patented double scissor-effect stalk chopper for much finer shredding and faster decomposition of the product on the ground. In addition to the two headers in their classic configuration, at Agritechnica Olimac is presenting the DragoGT with rake, designed to harvest corn and rake the shredded material in a single pass. The material is easily collected and the biomass is transformed into energy. The work is cut in half, with a contribution to sustainable development. Un ampliamento frutto della costante crescita che, secondo quanto rende noto la stessa azienda, ha portato la ditta ad esportare il 98% della produzione. Il nuovo stabilimento ha un’area produttiva di oltre 50.000 metri quadrati, su una superficie complessiva di oltre 90.000 metri quadrati nella quale sono impegnate 220 persone. Il reparto di Ricerca e Progettazione è il cuore di Olimac ed è dotato di una struttura CAD-CAM tra le più avanzate. La tecnologia progettata dai tecnici Olimac, e tutti i processi produttivi, sono trasmessi dalla rete informatica alle macchine utensili. È qui che nasce la gamma di testate mais e girasole Drago: DragoGT e Drago2, entrambe equipaggiate con piatti spannocchiatori ammortizzati e a regolazione automatica. Questa tecnologia – spiega Olimac con una nota tecnica – consente di raccogliere il mais e la granella alla massima velocità possibile senza perdite di pannocchie. DragoGT inoltre è dotato di un doppio trinciastocchi con effetto forbice che permette di ottenere una trinciatura molto più fine e prodotto a terra si decompone più rapidamente. Oltre alle due testate nella loro configurazione classica, ad Agritechnica la Olimac presenta la DragoGT con andanatore, concepita per raccogliere il mais e andanare il materiale trinciato con un’unica passata. Il materiale è facilmente raccolto e la biomassa è trasformata in energia. Il lavoro è dimezzato e si contribuisce a uno sviluppo sostenibile. Da segnalare, infine, tra i bestseller presenti ad Hannover, anche la testata per girasole Drago Gold con trinciastocchi idraulico, progettata per tagliare gli stocchi rasoterra e per raccogliere soltanto la testa del girasole senza gambo.
