Mondo Macchina Nr. 12 - Anno 2025

n. 12/2025 65 AGRITECHNICA REPORTAGE by Editorial Staff A35 kWh lithium-ion battery with a 5-hour battery life is the operational heart of the new MLT 625 E compact telehandler from Manitou. It is the first electric vehicle from the French company (headquartered in Ancenis in the north-west of the country). Making its debut at Agritechnica, the Manitou MLT 625 E model has been specifically designed for use in closed environments, such as stables or greenhouses, where it helps reduce noise pollution and harmful emissions, thus improving the liveability of the environments for both animals and operators. Thanks to its compatibility with all the accessories of the internal combustion engine version, the latest addition to the Manitou range can be used in a wide range of agricultural activities, from loading to handling bales or pallets. Another construction innovation adopted by the French company's technicians is the introduction of an electric transmission which, integrated with an anti-emulsion filter in the hydraulic oil tank, yields a reduction in the quantity of hydraulic oil used by the telehandler (30% less according to the manufacturer's data). Along with the new MLT 625 E, Manitou presented the expansion of its range of accessories in Hanover. Designed for loading loose materials – such as sand, gravel, cereals – the buckets of the BBF range facilitate the filling of big bags, limiting the loss of material. An adjustable hydraulic hatch allows the user to precisely control the output flow. Furthermore, each model offers capacities of 600, 1,120 or 1,750 liters. The buckets are equipped with a reversible blade that can be easily rotated or replaced when worn. Another accessory presented at Agritechnica is the new CLHW 1200/3 timber grapple featuring a reinforced structure and two cylinders that – states the French company – ensure an optimal grip. The clamp has a rated capacity of 3,000 kg and its gripping diameter is between 460 and 900 millimeters. The MLT 625 telehandler, Manitou's first electric model
