Disegnata da Pier Luigi Porta, design di Felice Contessini ed engineering di Roberto Ravera, la macchina si caratterizza per l’impiego di ghise sferoidali e di acciai altoresistenziali inseriti in un contesto di soluzioni tecnologiche d’avanguardia: carpenteria metallica, fusioni in ghisa, lavorazioni meccaniche, stampaggio plastico, motori elettrici a magneti permanenti, pacco batterie al litio, sistemi di controllo elettronico. Compatto e dal design distintivo, questo sollevatore telescopico full electric è stato espressamente progettato per impieghi nel settore agricolo e, unendo prestazioni elevate a sostenibilità contribuisce all’economia circolare. Con una capacità di sollevamento di 4,3 tonnellate a sette metri d’altezza, trazione e sterzo su tutte e quattro le ruote, il TF43.7e assicura manovrabilità e potenza; ha un peso di 8,3 tonnellate, è lungo 4,73 metri, largo 2,31 e alto 2,53 e si inserisce nella gamma “Generazione Zero”, il progetto con il quale il costruttore piemontese si pone l’obiettivo di proporre macchine a zero consumi di carburante, zero rumore e vibrazioni e zero emissioni. L’innovazione, secondo l’Associazione per il Design Industriale, sta nell’aver superato, grazie al motore elettrico, le prestazioni dei modelli diesel, offrendo un’intera giornata di autonomia operativa, eliminando le emissioni nocive. by Roberto Bonora After winning an award in the Technical Innovations competition at the latest EIMA International, the Merlo TF43.7ed telehandler has won another prize for industrial design. Designed by Pier Luigi Porta, together with Felice Contessini designing and Roberto Ravera engineering, the machine is characterized by the use of spheroidal cast iron and high-strength steels combined with cuttingedge technological solutions: metalwork, cast iron castings, mechanical processing, plastic molding, permanent magnet electric motors, lithium battery pack, and electronic control systems. Compact with a distinctive design, this fully electric telehandler has been specifically designed for use in the agricultural sector and, by combining high performance with sustainability, contributes to the circular economy. With a lifting capacity of 4.3 tons at a height of seven meters, and four-wheel drive and steering, the TF43.7e ensures maneuverability and power. Weighing 8.3 tons, it is 4.73 meters long, 2.31 meters wide, and 2.53 meters high. It is part of the "Generation Zero" range, the project with which the Piedmontese manufacturer aims to offer vehicles with zero fuel consumption, zero noise and vibration, and zero emissions. The innovation, according to the Association for Industrial Design, lies in having, thanks to the electric motor, surpassed the performance of diesel models, offering a full day of operating autonomy and eliminating harmful emissions.
