MERCATI 56 MERCATI soltanto alla caratteristiche strutturali del sistema agricolo ucraino (il sottodimensionamento delle aziende) ma a un tasso di meccanizzazione inadeguato rispetto alle reali esi- genze e alle potenzialità del settore primario. Oggi, il parco macchine dell’Ucraina conta 130 mila trattrici e 28 mila mietitrebbie, cui si aggiungono 65 mila rimorchi e 70 mila macchine per la semina e per il trapianto. Che si tratti di una dotazione insufficiente lo testimonia anche la brusca contrazione del parco macchine, avvenuta dal 2000 al 2019. In questo arco di tempo le trattrici hanno perso ben 190 mila unità (erano 319 mila) mentre il numero delle mieti- trebbie si è più che dimezzato (da 65 mila a 26,5 mila). Si stima che l’attuale dotazione meccanica delle imprese agri- cole ucraine è in grado di soddisfare appena il 50% del- l’effettivo fabbisogno tecnologico. L’obsolescenza dei mez- zi meccanici circolanti rappresenta per l’agricoltura dal Pae- se un altro fattore di debolezza: una macchina su quattro dovrebbe essere sostituita proprio a causa delle condizio- ni di usura. «L’Ucraina ha una superficie come la Francia e la Germania, però il mercato delle macchine agricole in que- sti Paesi è circa 6 volte superiore all’Ucraina. Sulla base di tali dati, secondo le stime degli esperti – scrive l’ICE Agen- zia nel suo rapporto sulla meccanizzazione agricola del Pae- se dell’Est Europa – il potenziale del mercato ucraino nel settore macchine agricole è di 10 volte rispetto al livello at- tuale». Una domanda potenziale molto elevata, dunque, che secondo il Ministero dell’Agricoltura ucraino può essere sti- mata in 40 mila trattrici e in 5 mila mietitrebbie l’anno per Ukrainian agricultural system (undersized farms) but also to an inadequate level of mechanisation compared to the real needs and potential of the primary sector.
