Nato dall’esperienza progettuale sui veicoli cingolati della linea PT e sui sistemi di guida remota della linea Demining, l’RCU-55 è stato ideato dai tecnici dell’azienda trentina per lavorare su terreni di difficile accesso o con pendenze elevate, fino a 55°, che richiedono mezzi in grado di garantire sia la sicurezza dell’operatore che una elevata efficienza operativa. Il nuovo prodotto FAE è un mezzo adatto a operazioni su aree collinari e forestali, ma anche agli interventi sulle linee ferroviarie ed elettriche, sui gasdotti e sugli oleodotti, fino alla pulizia di fossi e argini di laghi e fiumi. L’RCU-55 è equipaggiato con un motore compatto e potente, il Kohler da 56 Cv Common Rail Stage V a iniezione elettronica che insieme ad altre soluzioni tecniche consente alla macchina di operare in condizioni estreme. Born from the design experience on the tracked vehicles of the PT line and on the remote guidance systems of the Demining line, the RCU-55 was conceived by the technicians of the Trento-based company to work on terrain that is difficult to access or with steep slopes, up to 55°, which require vehicles capable of ensuring both operator safety and high operating efficiency. The new FAE product is a vehicle suitable for operations on hilly and forest areas, but also for work on railway and power lines, gas and oil pipelines, and for cleaning ditches and banks of lakes and rivers.
