Il principale aggiornamento introdotto dai tecnici austriaci riguarda il nuovo terminale di controllo touchscreen S-Tech 700 Plus. La struttura dello schermo è realizzata in alluminio e questo le conferisce maggiore robustezza e durata, mentre le dimensioni maggiorate del touchscreen da 12,1’ (35% più grande rispetto all’S-Tec 700) ne rendono l’utilizzo più agevole e immediato. Il terminale risulta migliorato anche nella risoluzione e nell’illuminazione, con una grafica più nitida e chiara, che ora – dichiara Steyr in una nota informativa – risponde meglio al tocco delle dita. Anche la capacità di archiviazione della memoria è stata migliorata, passando da 256 MB a 16 GB, per ottimizzare le operazioni ISOBUS e multi-task. Su questi trattori è disponibile, inoltre, il ricevitore Steyr 392, che include nuovi segnali di correzione. Il sistema utilizza i sistemi satellitari Galileo, Beidou e QZSS, oltre a GPS e GLONASS, per velocizzare l’inizializzazione e raggiungere la precisione richiesta – si legge in una nota dell’azienda austriaca (la sede è a St. Valentin, vicino Linz) – con minime probabilità di perdita del segnale. The screen structure is made of aluminium, which gives it greater sturdiness and durability, while the increased size of the 12.1'' touchscreen (35% larger than the S-Tec 700) makes it easier and more immediate to use. The terminal is also improved in resolution and illumination, with sharper and clearer graphics, which now - Steyr states in an information note - responds better to finger touch.
