L’utilizzo dei robot e dei dispositivi elettronici in agricoltura è destinato a crescere in modo esponenziale, giacché questi permettono di ottimizzare l’impiego dei fattori produttivi, riducendo in misura significativa i costi, il consumo delle risorse ma anche l’impatto ambientale delle lavorazioni, con particolare riferimento alla viticoltura. Queste tecnologie rivestono un’importanza strategica per la regione mediterranea –- sottolinea FederUnacoma – esposta più di altre alle conseguenze dei cambiamenti climatici, dei rincari delle materie prime, della sempre più marcata carenza di manodopera. Together with the REAL initiative, the Agrilevante exhibition includes another exhibition area - in the New Pavilion - dedicated to advanced electronic devices for precision agriculture and the digitalisation of farms.
