Lo fa presentando l’ultima generazione di Fendt Katana, la 850, frutto di dieci anni di ricerca nel progetto. Il modello è dotato del nuovo motore Liebherr stage V a 6 cilindri, montato longitudinalmente, il più grande della sua classe, con 18 litri di cilindrata e 847 Cv di potenza nominale. Degni di nota la struttura compatta e il basso baricentro del propulsore, che permettono una distribuzione del peso e una visibilità dalla cabina ottimali. La macchina, rimarcano in casa Fendt, si distingue per la sua spiccata versatilità, mantenendo sempre alte produttività e qualità del prodotto, a prescindere da coltura e condizioni, grazie a regolazioni in tempo reale dei parametri. Ciò è possibile grazie al nuovo software di gestione delle prestazioni, in grado di regolare automaticamente i giri a seconda del flusso di prodotto e delle preferenze dell’operatore. Tutto ciò va unito alla crescente integrazione con il sistema Nir, che permette di restituire in tempo reale valori accurati di resa e umidità, così come di regolare automaticamente la lunghezza di taglio a seconda dei parametri rilevati, riducendo le perdite e incrementando la qualità del prodotto. Oltre a motore e software sono diverse le caratteristiche della Katana 850 che meritano di essere menzionate: il sistema di trazione integrale anti-slittamento intelligente Fendt BalancedGrip con assale posteriore sospeso regolabile; il sistema di affilatura a regolazione continua della mola per ridurre l’usura dei coltelli; il rompigranella a rulli da 300 mm di diametro; la ventola del radiatore reversibile e a potenza variabile per ridurre consumi e manutenzione del motore; il sistema oscillante dell’attacco della testata, ravvicinato per preservare l’assale anteriore tramite un baricentro spostato verso l’interno della macchina, in grado di raggiungere un’inclinazione fino a 14° per migliorare l’aderenza al terreno. by Federico Valentini The Agco group raises the bar in the large self-propelled mulchers sector. The compact structure and low centre of gravity of the engine are noteworthy, providing optimal weight distribution and visibility from the cab. The machine, Fendt emphasises, stands out for its excellent versatility, always maintaining high productivity and product quality, regardless of crop and conditions, thanks to real-time parameter adjustments. This is possible thanks to the new performance management software, which can automatically adjust revolutions according to crop flow and operator preference. This is combined with the increasing integration with the Nir system, which allows accurate yield and moisture values to be returned in real time, as well as automatically adjusting the cutting length according to the parameters detected, reducing losses and increasing product quality. In addition to the engine and software, several features of the Katana 850 are worth mentioning: the Fendt BalancedGrip intelligent anti-skid all-wheel drive system with adjustable suspended rear axle; the infinitely adjustable grinding wheel sharpening system to reduce blade wear; the 300-mm diameter roller blade breaker; the reversible, variable-power radiator fan to reduce fuel consumption and engine maintenance; the oscillating header hitch system, which is close-mounted to preserve the front axle by means of a centre of gravity shifted inwards towards the machine, capable of reaching a tilt of up to 14° to improve ground grip.
