Dopo il lancio, avvenuto alcuni anni fa della serie S9 ad alta potenza, con la S7 la casa costruttrice trentina vuole incidere nella fascia di potenza 50-160 Cv. La nuova linea, che si vedrà in anteprima ad Agrilevante, si presenta nelle varianti "classic" e "dyna", che sostituiscono le “storiche” SMO e SMO fh. La cifra "7" nel nome indica il diametro massimo – espresso in centimetri - dei prodotti (erba, ramaglia, arbusti e legna) che la macchina riesce a macinare. La trincia è dotata di un rotore equipaggiato di serie con martelli di alta qualità disposti in maniera elicoidale (rotore HELIX), cosa che assicura una distribuzione uniforme della potenza. Il sistema di cuscinetti del rotore è ottimizzato per garantire un funzionamento silenzioso e senza vibrazioni anche con grandi larghezze di lavoro. Il risultato è – come spiega il costruttore – un taglio pulito con velocità di lavoro maggiori, consumi minimi e manutenzione semplice. La S7 classic è caratterizzata da un robusto attacco a tre punti per montaggio posteriore con spostamento laterale idraulico a parallelogramma (P-SHIFT). Il sistema, denominato "Extreme", consente spostamenti laterali della trinciatrice fino a un metro. La stabilità e la sicurezza dell’attacco viene garantita dai nuovi braccetti a forma trapezoidale che spostano le forze in maniera da avere meno concentrazioni di carichi. Le due file di controlame temperate sono ora intercambiabili e possono essere sostituite facilmente in caso di usura. Il telaio è costruito in acciaio ad alta resistenza S420 e, nel caso di condizioni di lavoro gravose, può essere dotato internamente di piastre antiusura intercambiabili supplementari. La nuova S7 garantisce anche una maggiore protezione dai residui delle lavorazioni. The result is - as the manufacturer explains - a clean cut with higher working speeds, minimal consumption and easy maintenance. The S7 classic features a robust three-point hitch for rear mounting with hydraulic parallelogram side-shift (P-SHIFT). The system, called 'Extreme', allows lateral movement of the flail mower of up to one metre. The stability and safety of the attachment is ensured by the new trapezoid-shaped arms that shift the forces in such a way that there is less concentration of loads. The two rows of hardened counter blades are now interchangeable and can be easily replaced in the event of wear. The frame is made of high-strength S420 steel and can be equipped with additional interchangeable wear plates internally in the case of severe working conditions. The new S7 also provides greater protection from machining residues. The protective chains are in fact combined with slats that tilt and move the chains during input, thus creating a barrier that prevents material from getting caught in the chains but lets it pass through to be shredded by the rotor.
