n. 10/2023 BIOECONOMY una corretta tutela del vasto patrimonio forestale italiano, e del tessuto sociale di molte comunità che fino ad oggi hanno presidiato le aree montane. Potenziare ed innovare il parco macchine degli operatori forestali è un passaggio determinante nel percorso da intraprendere, nel pieno rispetto del Piano Nazionale Forestale, per attivare forme di gestione attiva e sostenibile dei nostri boschi. In tale ottica, oltre a finanziare l’ammodernamento delle macchine operatrici, è molto importante mostrare come effettuare la scelta e come utilizzarle in relazione al contesto in cui verranno impiegate. A tal fine, nell’ambito del Progetto GESTA (Gestione EcoSostenibile del Territorio in Abruzzo), si realizzerà il prossimo ottobre (16 – 22) un cantiere forestale sperimentale per dimostrare la possibilità di integrare tecnologie moderne con tecniche selvicolturali tradizionali come le bestie da soma. Il progetto, oltre agli aspetti tecnologici, ha una grande valenza strategica e non a caso è stato finanziato dal MASAF attraverso il “Bando di selezione delle proposte progettuali per la costituzione di forme associative o consortili di gestione delle aree silvo-pastorali” a valere sul FSC 2014-2020 POA sottopiano 3 “Multifunzionalità della foresta e uso sostenibile delle risorse rinnovabili nelle aree rurali”. La logica del sistema di lavoro proposto per il cantiere si basa sul presupposto che oggi la meccanizzazione delle operazioni forestali è l’unico modo per garantire la sostenibilità delle operazioni in bosco.
