In virtù di questi valori medi, e riferendosi ai già numerosi studi pubblicati sulla letteratura scientifica è comunque possibile stimare che, mentre i costi per la difesa di un vigneto allevato a spalliera variano mediamente tra i 300 e i 1.000 €/ha, con l’impiego degli atomizzatori dotati di pannelli per il recupero del prodotto altrimenti disperso il risparmio medio si attesta tra il 40 e il 50% della cifra succitata. Enormi sono invece i vantaggi ottenibili dal punto di vista ambientale i vantaggi sono cospicui, dato che queste moderne macchine sono in grado di abbattere fino al 98% il fenomeno della deriva, e questo avviene in pratica in tutte le condizioni nelle quali queste macchine possono operare, dato che purtroppo, la complessa architettura che le contraddistingue, permette loro di operare soltanto sulle forme di allevamento a spalliera, oltre a renderle più ingombranti, pesanti e difficili da manovrare rispetto a quelle tradizionali. Nonostante questi limiti, la richiesta di macchine moderne e davvero ecosostenibili, ha portato molti costruttori italiani a progettare un’ampia rosa di atomizzatori “con pannelli di recupero”, sempre più apprezzati sia nel nostro territorio che all’estero.
