sentato dalla Vredestein in occasione di Eima International
2014,èstatoprogettatodalladittaolandeseperadattarsial-
le caratteristiche tecniche dellemietitrebbie di ultima genera-
zione. Macchine che, come spiega la stessa azienda di En-
schede (Paesi Bassi), richiedonopneumatici in gradodi offrire
trazione e capacità di caricomaggiori rispetto a quelle offerte
dallegomme inusosualtrimezziagricoli.Persoddisfare tali re-
quisiti, l’aziendaha ripreso il profilodellaserie TraxionXXL (già
apprezzata sui trattori per l’ampia superficie di appoggio e la
bassa resistenza al rotolamento) migliorandone la flessione
(+20%) grazieadunospecialedesigndella strutturadellacar-
cassa (tecnologiaVredesteinF+)che consentedi abbinare ca-
richi elevati adminore pressione degli pneumatici, a prescin-
deredallavelocitàdi trasporto.Al riguardo,secondoquanto ren-
denoto il costruttore,con la tecnologiaVredesteinF+ il Traxion
Cereall vedeaumentare lapropriacapacitàdi caricodel20% ri-
spettoai pneumatici standard. Esempre in temadi prestazio-
ni, unaltro fioreall’occhiellodel TraxionCereall è rappresenta-
to dalla funzioneCFO (operazioni cicliche sui campi), studiata
per fare frontealle considerevoli differenzedi peso chesi pos-
sono verificare durante le operazioni di mietitura quando uno
dei serbatoi di cereali è pieno e l’altro ancora vuoto. Tale fun-
zione, precisa una nota tecnica della Vredestein, si traduce in
unacapacitàsuperioredel 55% rispettoaimodelli sprovvisti di
CFO.Dasegnalare infine, tragli altri punti di forzadel pneuma-
tico Traxion Cereall, il design incurvato dei ramponi del batti-
strada,chemigliora la trasmissionedipotenzanellazonadi tra-
zionedel pneumatico, e il battistradaauto-pulente con rampo-
ni proiettati verso l’esterno che riduce loslittamentodelle ruo-
teene incrementa l’efficienza.

he newTraxionCereall tirewith F+ technology for in-
creased flexion fromVredestein, unveiledat EIMA In-
ternational 2014, was designed by the Dutch man-
ufacturer for adaptability to the technical characteristics of
the latest generation of combine harvesters. As explained
by the company in Enschede, the Netherlands, these har-
vesters require tires capable of providing tractionand load
capacity greater thanwhat is ensured by tires built for oth-
er types of agricultural machinery. To meet this need, Vre-
destein returned to the profile of their TraxionXXL series,
wide tractor tires for greater traction and less rolling re-
sistancewhich removes theneed to install larger rims. Flex-
ionwas improved by 20% thanks to a special design of the
carcass structure with Vredenstein F+ technology which
made it possible to combine high load capacity and lower
tire pressure independent of the speed of transport. In this
way, the manufacturer said in a communiqué, the Vre-
destein Traxion Cereall F+ was given a 20% greater load
capacity compared to the standard tire.
On the side of performance, the company can point to the
CFO, cyclic field operation, function studied to cope with
the considerable differences of weight of a harvester dur-
ing operations when one of the grain tanks is full and the
other empty.
This function has been transformed into a55% greater ca-
pacity compared tomodelswithout CFO, the company said.
Among the other strong points of these new Traxion Cere-
all tires is the design of the open shoulder treat which im-
proves the transfer of power to the tire’s traction area and
self-cleaning tread with lugs pointed outwards to reduce
slippage and increase efficiency.
