Implements, market down 3% in 2023

With a total value of approximately 4.7 billion euros, the market for soil working equipment and crop protection machinery closes 2023 with a decrease of 3% compared to the previous year. Estimates provided by CEMA - European Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers - highlight a 5% drop in machinery for sowing, fertilizing and crop protection. Soil processing equipment, however, fell by 2%. The causes of the unfavorable sales trend, claims the CEMA, must be sought above all in the volatility of the markets and in the high interest rates, which have had a negative impact on the propensity to purchase agricultural machinery. The European association predicts a further 10% decline in the market by 2024.
