ecovery is in sight for the agricultural machinery mar-
ket which is expected to display moderate growth to
reverse the trend of the past months. Cema, the agri-
cultural machinery association representing thirty European
nations, is forecasting a market on the increase on the ba-
sis of statistics on European tractor demand in the first three
months of the year. A marginal 1.3% decline in these months
compared to the same period in 2016 is assigned not to a
general trend but to the downturn reported for France, one
of the continent’s biggest market which drove the European
average down. Analyses of the trends of the single markets

crescita moderata, invertendo così la rotta rispetto al-
l’andamento dei mesi precedenti. Lo prevede il Cema – il
comitato che riunisce le associazioni dei costruttori di tren-
ta Paesi europei – sulla base delle statistiche relative alla
domanda europea di trattrici nei primi tre mesi dell’anno.
Un periodo, questo, caratterizzato ancora da un leggero ca-
lo (-1,3% rispetto al primo trimestre 2016) dovuto non ad
una tendenza generalizzata ma alle netta flessione regi-
strata in Francia, un mercato pesante per il Vecchio Conti-
nente, che ha spinto in basso la media europea. Infatti, l’a-
nalisi relativa all’andamento dei singoli mercati nazionali
denota, tra gennaio e marzo, una discreta vivacità del set-
tore con recuperi significativi per Belgio (+4,9%), Danimar-
ca (+12,6%), Germania (+5,7%) e Regno Unito (+26,4). Ma
anche per Italia (+13,8%) e la Spagna (+22,3).
Ripresa, ma non per tutti i comparti
Nel settore della meccanica agricola – sottolinea il Cema –
il ritorno a una fase espansiva non dovrebbe essere un fe-
nomeno generalizzato ma piuttosto riguardare determinate
