Merlo Group closed 2025 with a 4% increase in sales, confirming its position as one of the leading players on the Italian market. Over the past year, the Piedmont-based company – whose operational headquarters are in San Defendente di Cervasca, in the province of Cuneo – marketed around 1,300 (data provided by the manufacturer) telescopic handlers (for both agricultural and industrial applications) and 600 waste collection vehicles.
This significant result was accompanied by investments at international level, highlighted by the expansion path launched in 2024 with the establishment of Merlo US (Rock Hill, South Carolina), which now employs 30 people, along with other strategic operations aimed at directly strengthening the Group’s presence in its main foreign markets.
During 2025, in fact, Merlo completed the acquisition of 100% of Merlo Deutschland GmbH – headquartered in Bremen and employing more than 50 people – and opened a new subsidiary in Ireland, while also strengthening its Australian branch, which will also oversee the New Zealand market.
“On the industrial front, our goal,” stated Paolo Merlo, Chairman and CEO of the Merlo Group, “is to increase production capacity beyond the current 31 machines per day. We have already built 15,000 square metres of new production areas and scheduled further investments to expand the Cervasca plant, modernise existing lines and introduce new machinery and automated systems, including advanced robotics.”
