RF 4000 is the name of a new line of fixed-chamber round balers from Vicon, presented at the 2015 Agritechnica. There are many innovations developed by the production site of Kverneland Group Ravenna for the three models in this range, whose flagship is the net binding system with PowerBind. As explained by the parent company in a technical note, this is a device that allows you to reduce the binding time of the product, since it inserts the net directly into the chamber. The binding operation takes place in complete safety since, thanks to the particular positioning of the loading roller, the user can perform the process directly from the ground. The other major strength of the RF fixed chamber round balers is the parallelogram DropFloor system, which increases the space between the input channel and the pick-up, thus avoiding any clogging, and a completely updated software package. Thanks to the changes made to the application, the operator is now able to select directly from the control box one of three different pre-configured bale densities with the different programs (for straw, hay or silage), each connected to a specific binding cycle. In this way it becomes much easier to change the type of product during the working phase. For the RF series, Vicon offers three models, of which one with rollers (RF 4325) and two mixed chamber models with rollers plus chains (RF 4225 and RF 4255), designed for bales with a diameter of 120x125 cm or 120x155 cm. The completely renovated production site in Russi manufactures balers and wrappers marketed by the Kverneland Group under the Vicon brand, as well as Kverneland and Gallignani, historic Italian brand.
