A tread designed to increase the machine’s transmission power and operating efficiency and, at the same time, to minimize soil compaction. This is the strength of the innovative TM tyres created by Trelleborg, which made their debut last February at the Fima in Zaragoza after winning the “Best Agricultural Tyre of 2019” at the Hevea Tyre Industry Awards (cross-sectional event of the automotive sector which rewards the most innovative solutions in the tyre segment). The point of pride of the new Trelleborg models is undoubtedly the ProgressiveTraction technology, which consists of a special design with a “double step” tread. As the manufacturer explains, this design solution developed by the Swedish company allows on the one hand to reduce vibrations, to limit the dispersion of energy and to lower the consumption level, and on the other to prolong over time the life of the TM1000. The Swedish team estimates these advantages to be in the order of 3% and 5% as regards, respectively, the reduction in consumption and the increase in the product life cycle. “TM1000 ProgressiveTraction tyres improve the efficiency and productivity of our customers’ agricultural operations. ProgressiveTraction technology - said Ramon Martinez, Country Manager Spain and Portugal of Trelleborg Wheel Systems, commenting on the prestigious award achieved in Madrid - releases additional power to the ground, reducing stress on the soil and improving performance on the road”.
