The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CEMA, the European association representing agricultural machinery manufacturers, and the FAO has been renewed.
The partnership between the two institutions, which dates back to 2015, has fostered policy dialogue and cooperation for sustainable agricultural mechanization, as well as the exchange of knowledge, the dissemination of best practices, and the promotion of national policy implementation.
The new Memorandum aims to expand the scope of collaboration through the use of new digital technologies and artificial intelligence, in addition to the sustainable use of agricultural equipment.
According to the terms of the renewed agreement, CEMA will continue to manage datasets related to agricultural technologies and machinery trade, while FAO will further update its FAOSTAT database dedicated to mechanization.
