Net zero emissions Green, a 43 trillion dollars boost for world economy

The goal of "net zero emissions" by 2050, i.e. the reduction to zero of harmful emissions, is not only a tool to counter the effects of climate change, but is also be an important lever for global growth. The "Work toward net zero", report released in the past days by the international consulting firm Deloitte, estimates in 43 trillion dollars the contribution that the green economy can give to global growth between within 2070. Again, according to the Deloitte report, the the “zero emissions” strategy should also have a positive impact on employment, creating worlowide more than 300 million new jobs within the next 27 years. However - warns Deloitte - to fully grasp the potential offered by the green economy, it is necessary to act in advance. Undergoing the change, rather than promoting it - warns the consultancy firm - could produce a distorting effect on the world economic system and on global employment levels, with a loss estimated in the order of 178 trillion dollars.
