Ukraine, Malavolti (FederUnacoma): our sector must “work as a system”

The international geopolitical scenario is unstable, so companies of the agricultural mechanization sector need to adopt extremely flexible strategies. These are the conclusions of the fourth edition of the FederUnacoma Think Tank, which took place on 31 March at the Dall’Ara Stadium in Bologna and which addressed issues relating to the current international crisis and to the raw materials emergency. "The military conflict between Russia and Ukraine has worsened those tensions on the commodity market that arosed last year as a result of steep price increases and interruptions in the supply chain", said the president of FederUnacoma, Alessandro Malavolti, who underlined the need for the agromechanical industry to "work as a system". Italy must diversify its supply channels for commodities - added geopolitics expert Dario Fabbri, speaking at the event - while companies must explore the opportunities offered by other markets since sanctions against Russia will  likely last for years.
