L’
accord entre BolognaFiere et FederUnacoma pour la ma-
nifestation internationale de l’EIMA a été officiellement si-
gné. Le président de BolognaFiere Franco Boni et le pré-
sident de la Fédération italienne des constructeurs organisatri-
ce de la manifestation Massimo Goldoni – signataires du nou-
veau contrat – l’ont communiqué le 1er février dernier à Bologne
au cours d’une conférence de presse. L’accord engage les par-
ties jusque 2030, pour la réalisation de sept manifestations bien-
nales (à partir de 2018), et consolide une collaboration histori-
que, avec la première édition de la manifestation qui s’est tenue
en 1969 dans la ville chef-lieu de l’Émilie Romagne, une colla-
boration qui a vu le déroulement jusqu’à aujourd’hui de 36 édi-
tions annuelles et de 6 éditions biennales (à partir de 2006).
L’accord prévoit la réalisation de la part de BolognaFiere d’un vas-
te plan de restructuration et requalification du quartier des foi-
res – condition nécessaire pour donner d’ultérieures perspecti-
ves de croissance à la manifestation de la mécanique agricole –
avec des interventions distribuées au cours des huit prochaines
années et la réalisation des travaux fixée pour l’édition de 2024.

he agreement between BolognaFiere and FederUnaco-
ma for the EIMA International exhibition has been offi-
cially signed. Franco Boni, President of BolognaFiere,
and Massimo Goldoni, the president of the Italian Agricultural
Machinery Manufacturers Federation, that organizes the exhi-
bition, announced they have signed a new contract during a
press conference in Bologna held February 1, 2017. The agree-
ment, valid until 2030, states that the contracting parties are
committed to hold eight biennial editions starting in 2018. The
agreement consolidates a historic collaboration that began with
the first edition of the trade fair held in 1969 in the city capi-
tal of the Emilia Romagna Region, and that has allowed the or-
ganization of thirty six annual editions and six biennial editions
starting in 2006. The agreement provides that BolognaFiere
will put in place a vast project for restructuring and improving
the trade fair grounds – a necessary condition in order to de-
velop further prospects of growth for the international agricul-
tural machinery exhibition – with interventions spread out over
a period of eight years and the completion of the works by the
2024 edition. The agreement also provides for two intermedi-
ate steps respectively in 2018 and in 2022 that will allow mon-
itoring the progress of the project with regard to the require-
ments of the event. Once reconstruction is completed the net
exhibiting area will be of 140,000 square metres, inside new-
ly developed pavilions, with the highest standards in terms of
comfort and functionality. The overall investment for the re-
vamping plan of the grounds of BolognaFiere is part of the
broader development plan of the parent company, which has
been approved by shareholders meeting in December 2016.
Boni declared, “With the BolognaFiere shareholders approval
of the development plan, we are going to further strength-
en our competitiveness at the international level by offer-
ing our events, organized directly or hosted, new business
opportunities. Bologna is a par excellence location for ex-
