he global market of agricultural machinery has become pivotal in the
Far East. Following the formidable exploit of countries such as India
and China, that have in recent years became the largest markets in
terms of sold tractors, with an average of more than 600,000 units in India
and more than 400,000 in China, new countries are emerging in this vast and
populated area of the globe. Data provided by Nomisma on the bases of fig-
ures recorded by Global Trade Information Services (GTIS), regarding imports
of agricultural machinery, show impressive growth rates in the countries of the
Far East. In the world ranking of the markets recording the largest increases
in imports of tractors in the
period 2010-2015, five of the
first seven countries are in
the Far East (Myanmar, Philip-
pines, India, Vietnam, Cam-
bodia). In the world ranking
of imports of agricultural ma-
chinery the first four positions
are also occupied by coun-
tries in the Far East (in the or-
der: Myanmar, Cambodia,
Philippines and Vietnam).

ence and Industry (Ficci) Jasmeet Singh spoke - highlight the strategic collo-
cation of EIMA Agrimach, the international exhibition of agricultural machin-
ery organized by FederUnacoma and FICCI, that will hold its fifth biennial edi-
tion in New Delhi from 7 to 9 December, 2017.
At the 2015 edition of EIMA Agrimach - an event that consists in a fixed ex-
position of machinery and equipment and an external area where demon-
strations of how the machinery operates take place - the exhibiting companies
were 430 and the visitors recorded were more than 38,000, from all Indian
states but also fromAsian countries - Pakistan, Iran, Myanmar, Sri Lanka,Viet-
nam, Cambodia,Thailand - countries that represent the “new frontier” of mech-
anization.
In the period 2010-2015 Vietnam, for instance, recorded an increase in im-
ports of tractors - according to data released by Nomisma/GTIS - by more than
400%, with purchases amounting to 124 million USD in 2015. In the same
period the Philippines recorded an increase of 580% (for a value of 41 million

l mercato mondiale delle meccanica agricola si va polarizzando in
Estremo Oriente. Dopo il formidabile “exploit” di Paesi come l’In-
dia e la Cina, che negli ultimi anni si sono affermati come i mag-
giori mercati in termini di trattrici vendute, con oltre 600 mila unità
medie in India e oltre 400 mila unità medie in Cina, nuovi Paesi emer-
gono in questa ampia e popolosa regione del mondo. I dati, elabo-
rati da Nomisma sulla base delle rilevazioni GTIS, relativi alle im-
portazioni di macchinario agricolo evidenziano tassi di crescita im-
pressionanti proprio per i Paesi del Far East.
Nella classifica mondiale dei mercati che registrano i maggiori in-
crementi nelle importazioni di trattrici nel periodo dal 2010 al 2015,
ai primi sette posti si trovano ben cinque Paesi dell’Estremo Orien-
te (Myanmar, Filippine, India, Vietnam e Cambogia) e nella classifi-
ca mondiale delle importazioni di macchine agricole operatrici i pri-
mi quattro posti sono tutti occupati da Paesi dell’Estremo Oriente
(nell’ordine Myanmar, Cambogia, Filippine e Vietnam).
Questi dati – presentati lo scorso 27 febbraio al Sima di Parigi, nel-
l’ambito della conferenza stampa organizzata da FederUnacoma che
ha visto come relatori il presidente della Federazione Massimo Gol-
doni e il direttore aggiunto della Ficci Jasmeet Singh – evidenziano
la collocazione strategica di EIMA Agrimach, l’esposizione dedicata
alla meccanica agricola,
organizzata da FederU-
nacoma e Ficci, che ter-
rà a New Delhi dal 7 al
9 dicembre prossimo la
sua quinta edizione
biennale.
Nell’edizione 2015 la
rassegna di EIMA Agri-
mach – manifestazione
che prevede un’esposi-
zione statica di macchi-
ne ed attrezzature ed
un’area esterna dedica-
ta alle dimostrazioni dei
macchinari al lavoro – le
industrie espositrici so-
no state 430 e i visita-
tori hanno raggiunto il
numero di oltre 38 mila,
provenienti da tutti gli Stati dell’India, ma anche da quei Paesi del-
la regione asiatica – come Pakistan, Iran, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Viet-
nam, Cambogia, Tailandia – che rappresentano appunto per il mer-
cato della meccanizzazione la “nuova frontiera”.
Nel periodo 2010-2015 un Paese come il Vietnam ha visto cre-
scere le importazioni di trattrici – secondo i dati Nomisma/GTIS –
di più del 400%, raggiungendo nel 2015 i 124 milioni di dollari;
nello stesso periodo le Filippine hanno segnato un incremento del
580% (41 milioni di dollari il valore nel 2015), e la Cambogia ha
visto crescere l’import del 300%, con un valore 2015 pari a 38 mi-
lioni di dollari.
Incrementi vistosi si registrano anche per le macchine agricole ope-
ratrici: il Myanmar guida la classifica del “top performer” a livello
mondiale, con incrementi nei sei anni pari all’860% (194 milioni di
dollari nel 2015), seguito dalla Cambogia (210% nei sei anni, con
