New Forage Harvesting Record for CLAAS

12.11.2025

With 4,096 tons of silage chopped in 12 hours, the new CLAAS Jaguar 1200 forage harvester has set a new world record in forage harvesting. The record—already previously held by the German manufacturer—was set on June 2, 2025, in Dalhart, Texas (USA) by Matt Jaynes, Product Manager for Jaguar at CLAAS America. The machine was powered by a high-torque 12-cylinder MAN engine equipped with Dynamic Power, an electronic engine management system. The Jaguar 1200 features the new PICK UP with an independent, variable-speed drive system for both the pickup reel and the auger. It also boasts hydraulic pre-compression technology, a wide 910 mm V-FLEX chopping drum that increases crop flow, and the advanced operator assistance system CEMOS AUTO PERFORMANCE.
