Nell’ambito della rassegna internazionale della
meccanizzazione agricola ha luogo la terza
edizione di Eima Energy, la mostra specializzata
nelle macchine e nei sistemi per la produzione e il
trattamento delle biomasse agricole a fini
energetici. Organizzato in collaborazione con
l’Ente nazionale per la meccanizzazione agricola
Enama e l’Italian biomass association ITABIA, il
Salone offre anche un ricco programma di
convegni, workshop e visite guidate per
conoscere tutte le modoalità di utilizzo energetico
delle materie prime “verdi”

e biomasse sono una risorsa disponibile in ogni regione
del mondo, e dalla quale si può ottenere un’ampia gam-
ma di prodotti naturali, che possono competere con i de-
rivati del petrolio. Questa versatilità interessa quindi tanti set-
tori del mercato nazionale ed estero, spaziando delle fibre per
il tessile, all’industria dei pannelli, ai biomateriali per l’edilizia,
ma riguarda in particolar modo la produzione di energia rinno-
vabile. Fra tutte le fonti alternative a quelle fossili, le biomasse
sono le uniche a poter garantire al contempo presenza sul ter-
ritorio, continuità nell’approvvigionamento e programmabilità
d’impiego. Questi elementi, che messi insieme costituisco l’ec-
cezionale punto di forza della bioenergia, necessitano però di
un serio impegno organizzativo per la definizione di filiere so-
stenibili. Disponiamo, infatti, di un ingente potenziale di bio-
masse residuali o producibili ad hoc in ambito agricolo e fore-
stale, di eccellenti tecnologie per la loro raccolta, condiziona-

iomass is available in all the regions of the world and
provides a resource for obtaining a wide range of nat-
ural products which can compete with oil derivatives.
This versatility is of interest in many national and interna-
tional market sectors, extending from fibers for textiles to the
panel industry and biomaterials for building construction and
on to fertilizers, but is of special interest for the production
of renewable energy. Among the sources alternative to fossil
fuels, biomass is the only one which can guarantee its pres-
ence on the land, continuous supplies and planned utiliza-
tion. These considerations, taken all together, make up the
strong point of bioenergy which, however, requires a serious
commitment to the organization and definition of sustainable
production lines. We have available, in fact, an enormous po-
tential in biomass residues, and those produced ad hoc in
agriculture and forestry, and excellent technologies for har-
vesting them, conditioning and turning them into energy and
we have the obligations set for 2020 to respect. Thus all these
factors must be but into a system for the correct orientation
of the anticipated development of agri-energy production
chains without creating unwanted setbacks for the traditional
vocation of the primary sector, that is, the production of food,
or in the utilization of forestry. In agriculture, energy and food
can coexist and there is no shortage of sound initiatives from
which new ones can spring and become even more valid be-
cause they result from acquired experiences. This is the con-
text for the third edition of EIMA Energy, the bioenergy salon
set for November 7 to 11 in Bologna within EIMA Interna-
tional for offering visitors a packed schedule of informative
events entirely centered on issues connected to the bioen-
