OOVER XL è una macchina per l’aspirazione dei residui coltu-
rali e delle foglie, progettata dall’azienda padovana Hortech (la
sede è ad Agna) per i produttori di quarta gamma. Rispetto ai
precedenti modelli HOOVER e HOOVER MAXI, il nuovo prodotto pre-
senta un sistema di aspirazione ancora più efficace, che ad una vi-
gorosa potenza aspirante unisce una spiccata economicità nei con-
sumi. Cuore della macchina è la barra falciante posizionata su sen-
sori elettroidraulici, la cui lama ruota su pulegge autocentranti, rico-
perte di gomma per garantirne una maggiore durata nel tempo. La te-
stata di taglio offre la possibilità di traslare sul lato opposto – una so-
luzione indicata per gli operatori che volessero rifilare il prodotto nel
senso opposto rispetto al precedente taglio eseguito – ed è caratte-
rizzata da un posto guida studiato in modo da assicurare il pieno con-
trollo sulla barra stessa e sulle ruote stabilizzatrici poste al di sotto
di essa. L’altezza del taglio – precisa il costruttore con una nota tec-
nica – può essere gestita direttamente dalla postazione di lavoro (an-
che la cappa aspirante è regolabile in altezza). Da segnalare, tra le ca-
ratteristiche di questo modello, l’aspiratore a depressione, che, equi-
paggiato con un filtro protettivo posto all’interno del cassone (ha una
capacità di 1000 litri), non aspira direttamente il prodotto ma lo ri-
succhia all’interno del serbatoio creando una depressione che evita
possibili occlusioni e che contribuisce a mantenere il dispositivo libe-
ro da detriti. Alimentato da un motore Kubota da 50 cavalli (collocato
in posizione longitudinale per agevolare la manutenzione) HOOVER XL
è dotato di 4 ruote sterzanti e si distingue per il suo doppio sistema
di avanzamento che prevede sia l’utilizzo di un distributore proporzio-
nale a pedaliera sia l’impostazione di una velocità costante. Il casso-
ne, infine, è a scarto maggiorato e può essere sollevato (fino a 200
centimetri da terra) o ribaltato, ma dispone anche di un’apertura per
lo scarico dei residui vegetali.

OOVER XL is a machine for the suction of crop residues
and leaves, designed by the Paduan company Hortech
(the headquarters are in Agna) for fourth-range pro-
ducers. Compared to the previous models HOOVER and
HOOVER MAXI, the new product has a more effective suction
system, which combines strong suction performance with great
fuel-efficiency. The heart of the machine is a cutter bar posi-
tioned on electrohydraulic sensors, whose blade rotates on
self-centring pulleys, covered with rubber to ensure greater
durability. The cutter head offers the possibility to move on the
opposite side - a solution recommended for operators who want
to trim the product in the opposite direction compared to the
previous cut. It is characterized by a driving position designed
to ensure full control of the bar and the stabilizing wheels po-
sitioned beneath it. The height of the cut - specifies the man-
ufacturer with a technical note - can be managed directly from
the work position (the suction hood is also adjustable in height).
Among the features of this model, we note the vacuum aspi-
rator, which, equipped with a protective filter located inside the
tank (with a capacity of 1000 litres), does not suck the prod-
uct directly, but it sucks it inside the tank creating a vacuum
which avoids possible occlusions and helps keep the device
free from debris. Powered by a 50 horsepower Kubota engine
(positioned longitudinally for ease of maintenance) the HOOVER
XL is equipped with 4-wheel steering and stands out for its dou-
ble advancing system that enables the use a pedal propor-
tional distributor and setting a constant speed. Finally, the tank
has an expanded gap and can be raised (up to 200 centime-
tres from the ground), or tipped, and has an opening to unload
the plant residue.
